About One Direction

Hey Directioners it was my first posting! and in my first posting I want to tell you about One Direction~ check this out!:D

One Direction adalah Boy band asal Inggris. Yang anggotanya adalah Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, dan Louis Tomlinson. Mereka menandatangani kontrak dengan label rekaman milik Simon Cowell, yaitu Syco Records setelah terbentuk dan meraih juara ketiga dalam ajang The X-Factor musim ke-7. Mereka kemudian di kontrak oleh Columbia Records.

Pada bulan November 2011, One Direction merilis album pertama mereka Up All Night. Album itu menjadi album perdana dengan penjualan paling cepat di UK. Pada tahun 2012 album mereka menjadi debut di chart Billboard 200, hal itu membuat One Direction mencetakkan sejarah baru sebagai band UK pertama yang meraih debut pada album perdananya. Singel dari album mereka adalah Gotta Be You, What Makes You Beautiful dirilisSeptember 2011. Dan singel lainnya One Thing. Untuk Singel What Makes You Beautiful, One Direction meraih Best British Single pada 2012 BRIT Awards.

Tur dunia One Direction akan dilaksanakan tahun 2013. Dengan tiket yang meraup $ 15.700.000 untuk Australia dan New Zealand. One Direction dicatat sebagai kebangkitan baru era Boy Band di UK. Mereka juga dilabeli sebagai new British Invasion. One Direction saat ini memiliki kekayaan sebesar 10 juta euro.

One Direction are a British-Irish boy band consisting of members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after being formed and placing third in the seventh series of The X Factor. They later signed in North America to Columbia Records.

In November 2011, One Direction released their debut album Up All Night, the record became the fastest-selling debut album in the UK of 2011. In 2012, it debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, making One Direction the first UK band in history to debut at number one with their first album. Up All Night spawned the Official UK Singles Chart top ten singles — "What Makes You Beautiful", "Gotta Be You", and "One Thing". In 2012, "What Makes You Beautiful" won the BRIT Award for Best British Single at the 2012 BRIT Awards.

One Direction's world tour is set for 2013, with tickets grossing $15.7 million for their Australian and New Zealand dates. One Direction have endorsements with Pokémon, Nokia, HarperCollins and Hasbro. They have been noted for resurge of the boy band and have also been labelled as the new British Invasion. One Direction to date have a combined net worth of £10 million.
